ADMISSIONS / ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS

Pupils wishing to enrol in the First Form of the Secondary School (1st, 2nd and 3rd Forms study at BTMK) are required to take and pass an Entrance Examination in Turkish, Mathematics and English. The Examination is administered centrally by the Ministry of Education. At the end of the 3rd Form, pupils are transferred to TMK, where they study the 4th, 5th and 6th Forms. English speaking pupils are admitted to a given form based on their transcripts.

Entrance Exams are very competitive due to the great number of applicants and the Ministry's policy of enrolling a limited number of pupils.

TMK accepts pupils from other schools for enrolment in the other forms, provided there are vacancies and the candidates are successfull in the placement examinations (again administered centrally by the Ministry of Education), after producing evidence of promotion from their school. Pupils who wish to take the GCE Exams are transferred directly.
